NERDterpreter will be onsite at the 2024 Planet Comicon.  This year we celebrate the 25th anniversary!   Planet Comicon Kansas City is the largest comic book and pop culture convention not just in the Kansas City area, but within this entire region of the Midwest. It has a 25 year history, with the first Planet Comicon Kansas City being held in Overland Park, KS in March 1999. The 2024 show is our 25th Anniversary show and will be held at the Kansas City Convention Center in downtown Kansas City. We will be adding information as the show approaches to help you find out more about what is offered at Planet Comicon Kansas City.

NERDterpreter will be covering all your language needs for AnimeSTL 2024!   Anime STL is St. Louis' largest anime convention! Join thousands of your fellow fans at the St. Louis region’s largest anime and manga focused, comic con style event!  For almost two decades, fun industry guests, a variety of exhibitors, creative cosplays, and interactive programming has filled our venue to the brim; and we’re looking forward to doing it again in April!  Plan ahead and pre-register in order to save on your admission, and enjoy checking out all the details as we plan for another fun year.

Furry Weekend Atlanta is a convention that takes place in downtown Atlanta, at the Marriott Marquis. We welcome everyone interested in their furry side; fursuits are not required! Bring your favorite cosplay and add a furry twist by picking up some ears and tails in our Vendor Hall! We have hundreds of hours of programming, dances, enormous video game and board game rooms, an artist alley, fursuit dance competition and lots more surprises in store.

NERDterpreter will be on site all weekend! Will we see you there!? Naka-Kon is an annual three-day convention, celebrating anime, manga, cosplay, music, fashion, gaming, and more! Every year, we bring your favorite voice actors, musicians, cosplayers, artists, designers, and industry experts to the Overland Park Convention Center. Catch guest panels and performances, be part of our cosplay competitions, enter contests, and learn about working in the anime, manga, and music industries.

Community Alliance is to provide educational opportunities, support, social activities, and advocacy to enrich the lives of LGBTQ+ people in an inclusive environment for all. Our Vision We will celebrate and recognize the history and heritage of LGBTQ+ people in Kansas City and beyond. KCPCA will work to create an alliance with related organizations and allies to achieve and promote common goals.

In the Spring of 2023, there was a stir in the transgender community of Kansas City.A rise in anti-trans legislation coincided with Transgender Day of Visibility, leading trans people to take to the streets and raise their voices in defiance of what felt like an unstoppable wave of oppression. The power was palpable.However, it left some of us wondering - when do we get to rest? When every day feels like a battle,it can be hard to enjoy the simple things - like a warm spring day in the park.In this spirit, the first Trans Joy in the Park event was formed. It was a place for us to come together andjust be in all our gender-bending glory. Over a hundred people of transgender experience showed up to this first event,and Trans Joy KC was born. Since then, we have expanded our mission to improving the quality of lifefor trans & gender-nonconforming folks of all ages living in the Kansas City area through community connection.

NERDterpreter at Planet Anime! Dates to be announced!   Planet Anime Kansas City is the newest convention to be hosted by Planet Promotions, LLC. As a companion to the March 2023 return of Planet Comicon Kansas City, this anime-focused event will make its debut at the Kansas City Convention Center this fall on October 20th thru October 22nd, 2023. Your visit to this new anime-centric destination within our fandom-fueled universe will feature an incredible lineup of anime voice celebrities, exhibitors, special events, a wide ranging schedule of panels, plus amazing cosplay, a cosplay contest, and more to be announced in the coming months.
